Work At Home Women - Could You Be One?

Working at home is a dream for many - but is it realistic?

From Ewen Chia: "You won't be a millionaire in a week. That kind of promise really is a scam and you should avoid it like the plague. But there are ways to make money on the Internet that DO work...virtually every time": Click Here!

With a growing number of work at home women, many wonder if they could be one. It's not something you should decide on the spur of the moment. I hope this article will help you.

Many women currently working 9-5 would love to ditch office demands and work from home. They relish the thought of the freedom working from home brings, the ability to get up when they want and work when they want and not have to answer to anyone.

While it's true that working from home can bring these advantages, it also has significant risks, demands, and disadvantages of its own.

Few women consider these until after they've quit their job and started out on their own. And, too many of them fail. But those who succeed as work at home women first take into account everything involved in working from home. They make plans to counter their known weaknesses. They set concrete goals, and lay out steps to work towards them.

The first thing to consider is the money.

Establishing a business takes time and capital. How will you live until you start making regular paychecks? How will you pay the bills? More than that, where will you get your capital? How will you buy those things that the business needs, pay for marketing, and establish yourself?

Before you quit work, consider setting some money aside for business expenses. If you find yourself living paycheck-to-paycheck with your current job and think you can't set money aside to start a home business, you may wish to consider studying budgeting strategies for living on less before you try to start your own business, or you will wind up deep in debt and your business is doomed before you ever start it.

Second, consider the time.

Just how good are you at managing your time? Can you get things done at work without your boss having to stand over you and nag you?

Don't automatically assume you'll be better at managing your time and getting things done just because you're working for yourself and following your dream. Dreams are made of hard work, and if you haven't learned the initiative it takes to get things done on your own while you were at work, you're going to have to learn it while trying to keep your business alive. That adds more stress to an already tense situation.

Also, how many distractions will you have?

Kids? Pets? Friends calling you? Do you find you spend more time surfing the Internet at work than actually working? If so, don't assume this will magically change when you start working for yourself!

The most successful work at home women are the ones who are already successful at their office jobs.

If you can't work on a deadline or pay your bills or avoid distractions at work, you won't be able to do it when you're working from home.

By not quitting work until you have a handle on your new work at home job, you will make things much easier for yourself in the long run.
