Tender Treatment for Tired Feet
Tender Treatment for Tired FeetLife takes a toll on every part of the human body, but it does so especially to the feet. Our feet take the brunt of every day walking, running around to complete errands, and climbing endless stairs. On top of that, many women squeeze their precious feet into shoes that are either too small or too tight. It isn’t any wonder that our poor feet soon become tired, frazzled, and frayed to a point of dry, calloused skin. It’s easy to forget about taking care of our tender feet when we are young. After all, we have the resiliency of youth and after a few moments resting on the couch with our shoes kicked asunder, our feet become refreshed and ready for the next adventure. Unfortunately, if we don’t take care of our feet properly while we are still young, we will have so much more work to do when we finally mature enough to realize that it really isn’t kind to torture our tootsies. Pampering our tender feet with a bit of skin-softening indulgence does not have to be an all day affair either. All they need is a few moments a day, or even weekly, to ensure that they remain soft and supple. If your feet haven’t experienced any damage yet, a few moments of time and a daily application of foot lotion, cream, or butter will help to keep them soft and supple. A personal foot spa never hurt anyone either. Consider making a small investment in one to give your feet the primping they deserve. After all, they do everything you want them to and if you want them to continue, you better take care of them. If you aren’t into the do-it-yourself beauty treatment, make it a point to visit a salon for some professional treatments on a weekly or monthly basis. Dealing with the hardened skin that seems to magically appear on our feet can be as simple as daily exfoliating using a pedicure foot file and some scented bath salts. Obviously, the bath salts do not have to be scented, but the experience is more gratifying if they are. Start with bath salts and a small basin or the bathtub. Fill the basin or tub with just enough water to cover your feet. Use warm water and soften it by adding the bath salts. Soak your tender feet and allow the skin to soften. Next, use the foot file to gently exfoliate and remove the dead skin. Follow this process with a generous application of foot lotion, cream, or butter. You can use a body lotion, cream, or butter as well since that is just as effective as a skin-softening agent for your feet. Place a generous amount of the skin-softening agent on each foot to rejuvenate your skin and lock in moisture. Use bath salts with a deliciously tempting scent to nourish your feet while invigorating your spirit at the same time. The essential oils, juices, and butters that you use can bring softness back to your feet before you know it. Back to top of Tender Treatment for Tired Feet
